Halton Community Benefits Network
A multi-sectoral collaborative working group that fosters awareness and action in the development of Community Benefits Agreements (CBAs). We engage in research and consultation with the goal of educating and engaging community partners as we adopt CBAs that can lead to change the way our economic region does business and thus benefit residents with fuller employment opportunities and inclusive social well-being.
In our broad network model, there are four segments forming a community circle where open and transparent business practices contribute to a diverse and shared value in outcomes for social good:
- Anchor Institutions includes municipal governments, hospitals and public services
- Business Vendors includes providers of goods and services to the anchors
- Connector Organizations includes non-profit employment or social services, colleges and professional associations
- Beneficiary Groups includes the unemployed, newcomers, people with disabilities & those on low-income
